Washington Lecture Hall
This is an exciting, but decidedly challenging time for credit unions. League President Rick Pillow hosts this special dialogue session in which we will discuss some of the latest issues facing the movement, new initiatives like CUNA’s “Unite for Good,” and noteworthy happenings at your League.
We will also provide a review of the ByLaws and Articles of Incorporation amendments being brought before the membership for a vote at Friday’s Business Session.
Your League wants to hear from you as well! What are
your thoughts on the direction of the League and the
movement and how can we ensure we are ready for
whatever comes next in this hyper-competitive market?
Together, we are a stronger, more productive movement when we’re working cooperatively to move forward as a system
Join us as we look at and discuss the opportunities and challenges ahead for credit unions and your League.

Community Involvement Committee/Credit Unions Care Foundation Raffle-A-Rama
Help your League's Community Involvement Committee and the Credit Unions Care Foundation of Virginia support the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals serving the Commonwealth!
Please consider a financial contribution to aid us in purchasing items for our Charity Raffle (we're calling it the "Raffle-A-Rama") which will take place at this year's Annual Meeting (April 17-19 in Roanoke).
What We Need...
- Chapters: We're asking for a financial contribution of not less than $250.
- Credit Unions ($100 million or more in assets): Please consider a financial contribution of at least $250.
- Credit Unions (Less than $100 million in assets): Please consider a financial contribution of at least $50.
How This Will Work...
Rather than having credit unions and chapters lug raffle and auction items to the Annual Meeting, we thought it might make more sense to collect financial contributions and put together themed raffle packages, which will be on offer at the Annual Meeting.
This will aid us in better coordinating the event and it will mean less hassle for you! Annual Meeting attendees will be able to purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win the raffle package or packages of your choice.
How to Help...
Kindly make share drafts/checks payable to the Virginia Credit Union League and forward them to the following address by March 15: Virginia Credit Union League, Attn: Mary Amyx, PO Box 11469, Lynchburg, 24506.
Thank you for your generosity and support of the League Community Involvement Committee and our efforts to raise funds for kids in our communities.

Food Bank Collection
We're excited to announce a volunteer opportunity at this year's Annual Meeting. On Wednesday, April 17, we have the opportunity to help Feeding America Southwest Virginia, a Roanoke-area food bank, by volunteering for two shifts: 9 a.m. until noon and 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.
They'll put us to work doing inventory, preparing food boxes, and other assorted tasks. If you're interested in participating on one or both shifts, please drop an email to your League's Lewis Wood at email@example.com. We'll send you the volunteer packet, which you'll need to complete and bring along with you the day of the event.
This is an excellent opportunity to have a positive impact on this year's Annual Meeting host city and a feel-good way to start the Annual Meeting. Learn more about the good work of Feeding America Southwest Virginia online at http://www.faswva.org/.
> Also, we're asking that you consider donating needed items to the Food Bank. (Monetary donations are appreciated as well!) Here is the list of the most-needed items: canned meats, canned meals, rice, peanut butter, canned vegetables, canned fruits, beans and 100% juice.
Bring these along and drop them off at our designated collection point (near the registration area), and we'll take care of delivering them to the Food Bank!
